What is Made for Bass?
Made For Bass is an online community and online boutique bass gear shop that specializes in bass effects pedals.
Made For Bass, or MFB for short, was founded in 2022 by James H.
What is the Bass Effects Database?
The Bass Effects Database is an extensive list of bass effects pedals which provides detailed information and specs for every pedal.
The database is an ongoing project and a labour of love. New effects pedals are added to the database weekly.
How can I get my effects pedal or brand listed?

Please be sure to provide as much detail as possible.
Can I contribute to MFB?
At this time, I am hesitant to accept help. The reason being, my process for updating the website and Bass Effects Database is slightly complicated and not very efficient.
One area I might need help is with coding and development. If you have a strong understanding of WordPress, WordPress plugins, Advanced Custom Fields and/or comfortable with PHP and JavaScript, feel free to contact me!
I am in the process of building a workflow that will drastically improve the way the Bass Effects Database is updated and maintained. When this has been flushed out, I will be looking for contirbutors to add information to the database and perhaps post bass related news to the blog.

What happened to the Made For Bass Online Shop?
I have taken a break from the online shop for a couple reasons.
- The cost of International shipping, including customs was becoming to high.
- I need to restructure my Return Policy because International return costs with customs was too expensive and I was loosing money on these sales.
Will you ever re-launch the online shop?
I am seriously considering this. I have a passion for bass guitar and I really enjoy the friends I met along the way. I have a lot of respect for the vendors and effects pedal builders I’ve worked with. I still believe in their products and would love to support their small businesses.
If I re-launch the online shop, there are a few things I will need to overhaul, such as my return policy, tax tracking and streamline other business worflows and processes.
